Our amazing school serves a diverse population (almost equal percentages of Latinos, Whites, African-Americans, and Asians), about half being socioeconomically disadvantaged. We have a vibrant after-school program and jazz band is a big part of it. Our students love to play music in band, jamming after school and performing in the community. Some students have much experience in music, playing in church or with their families, and many come with only the desire to learn music. Much of our teaching staff have been at the school for well over ten years, and we love our students. We take the time to take our students camping, to performances, and other real world experiences. Our students respond with confidence, good will, and the courage to take chances.
