My school is economically diverse. Children come from families that range from poverty levels to middle class. I currently use Scholastic News in my class, and my students love reading them! They look forward to Fridays because those are the days we usually read them. The topics often spark interest in the children, which lead to further discussions. They often come to school with other books or objects that are related to the topics.
