I have an enthusiastic first grade class. They enjoy reading to each other, writing, writing math thinking on the white board, reading, doing yoga, and dancing. Our school is a small neighborhood school where everyone can walk or get a quick ride. We are a high poverty school with 70% free and reduced lunch. This is my first year at Camelot and I have to say that this has been the most welcoming, friendly, and family like school that I have every worked in. My students are curious and always asking questions. We need supplies to encourage these questions and to help develop a deeper understanding in math, science and reading.
