My sweet babies are from all economic, ethnic, and educational backgrounds. I have students whose parents are doctors and students whose parents have not graduated or passed eighth grade. The spectrum of independent levels of performance is very large. I have non readers as well as students reading 4 grades above 3rd grade. Differentiating for them is imperative! My students are eager to learn and with the support of IPads, motivation will sky rocket to the next level! We are a NON-TITLE I school that receives very little federal money. We rely on the support of the community to provide us with the necessary tools but the majority of our parents do not have the extra cash flow required to support our eager students. Our students want to learn, they want to succeed, and they want to invest in their own education but we simply do not have the funding necessary. The use of blended learning will assist them with the ability to buy into themselves and grow into 21st Century learners.
