My third grade students enjoy hands-on activities that are memorable. Experiments about nature can help them retain information about the world around them. Learning about nature through science experiments is a great way to introduce them to the wonders of nature. Our school’s location can be challenging due to unpredictable weather from cold to rain, so working with nature offers its challenges. When the students do have opportunities to do nature experiments, it is amazing to see the results. While making discoveries, the students are excited and they start to recognize and inquire about nature around them. Providing the students with positive teaching experiences with nature could encourage a lifetime commitment to care for the Earth, animals, and their community.
