Both rugs will be included in math lessons throughout the year. I am excited to use the hopscotch rug in math lessons by incorporating addition, subtraction, and eventually multiplication strategies into the traditional game.
The large 1-120 chart rug will not only be for classroom community meetings where we collaborate and share thoughts and ideas, but we will use it during math lessons while learning skip counting and eventually multiplication, place value, and SO MUCH MORE.
Each of these rugs will be a great addition in our classroom because along with the students' need to be active, each rug promotes movement.
