The hands-on manipulative science kits will allow students to apply what they read in the textbooks. Currently, the only options we have for science materials come from items that I can make or show the students using a video. My students love science and like to complete projects, but we simply do not have the necessary materials that they need.
Research shows that when students are able to use kinesthetic learning as well as visual learning, the concepts are retained. I want my students to have the best experiences while in the classroom. Allowing them to work with science manipulatives will aide in classroom participation and team building.
