Students will use these tablets every day! Currently, we have a limited amount of technology in our classroom. Often times, the computers aren't even working. This makes it difficult for students to practice their daily reading and math tasks and achieve their weekly goals. Technology plays a crucial role in engaging and growing student achievement. I believe these tablets will help my students not only meet their academic goals, but also cultivate a love for learning. Having this project funded will allow my students to prepare for careers in this technology saturated world by engaging in reading, math, and science in a more visual, hands-on way! The various programs we use in our district, tailors the instruction to each students' specific needs, which in turn, gives them the confidence needed to excel. Growing up in the 21st century with rapidly advancing technology, today's students need to manipulate technology in order to become the leaders of tomorrow and apply these skills to real world situations. With more technology available in the classroom, my students will be able to access various resources to enhance their learning not only in reading and math, but science as well. They need as much exposure to understanding the world around them. In an effort to prepare my students for lifelong learning and careers in STEM, it starts in my classroom by incorporating more technology. Help me pave the way for the leaders of tomorrow!
