I teach first grade in a high poverty school with high expectations of my students. My students are learning to write and part of this learning includes learning to be creative. All of our students know that they can be successful and a big part of that mentality begins in kindergarten and first grade. It is my mission to inspire my students to become life long lovers of learning. I believe that not all children learn in the same way and many times I include technology, music and art to make the learning more tangible to them.
