My school is in a suburban area with an urban feel. My classroom is very diverse and my students show a lot of diversity in interests, ranging from cars and vehicles to dolls and princesses. Many of my students don't have the resources at home to continue their reading practices at home. In order to allow my students to continue their growth, I have been sending home books I have provided for my own classroom. My students love picking out their own books to borrow and I have been seeing an increase in reading ability due to this system in my classroom.
