Many of my students come into the classroom 25 minutes before school begins. The use of the STEM-ulating morning tubs will provide my students will many academic benefits and skills without them realizing their learning outcomes. The academic skills gained from these activities include eye-hand coordination, finger dexterity and strengthening skills, spatial reasoning, language skills, problem solving, math concepts, critical thinking skills, and social skills. These activities will be placed on their tables in the morning. Students will work with their table partners to complete the activities, whether it is a puzzle, play dough, or a building activity. These activities will be stored in plastic tubs and rotated to a new table the next day. Donations to STEM-ulating Morning Tubs will be helping my students develop language, problem solving, and eye hand coordination skills that will ultimately improve their academic and social abilities. By implementing STEM-ulating Morning Tubs students will begin accepting responsibility for their own learning.
