By using large bins as seating boxes, my special education preschoolers will work towards the goal of maintaining personal space and boundaries while learning during large group meeting or literacy time. Using seating boxes during circle time routines will help my preschoolers work on skills such as “Keeping their hands, feet and bodies to themselves and in their own personal space.”
Using seating boxes will also help preschool students, with sensory needs and/or specific behaviors or those with specific learning disabilities (such as attention, focus, listening) during circle time, large group instruction or assembly activities.
