My students come to me at all different ability levels. iPads will allow students to get the extra help they need without feeling frustrated! Every year, I have students with specific learning disabilities and as they get older, they realize that they have a harder time learning than the rest of the class. I want all students to work to their highest ability level. My classroom now consists of 24 students; 14 of them are considered "high needs". Four out of 24 are in special education (reading, math, speech and occupational therapy). I have two students who are severely dyslexic, along with 5 students who are English Language Learners (ELL). I have 7 Title 1 students who receive extra reading help. I also have some students working above grade level and iPads will give them the opportunity to be challenged more in the classroom.
