Through greater engagement with a variety of musical instruments, students will be able to explore their own interests and develop their skills during the school day in a way they typically would not be able to. Having more guitars means more students that are actively participating, learning, and exploring.
Since they are middle school students, this is a fantastic time for them explore the various aspects of music and try out new ways to interact with it. The skills they learn in this class will, hopefully, be lifelong and allow them to make music on their own outside of the classroom in any way they might choose.
