I teach in a school with a poverty rate of 99% on the west side of Chicago. All my students receive free lunch and it is often the only full meal they consume daily. We also have a lot of English language learners at the school. Despite the lack of resources available to them, my students are extremely resilient and they continue to amaze me as I learn new things from them everyday! I'm proud and happy to be their teacher!
