Learning through play is the best way to help teach young children. Many things have changed this year, but the need to continue learning and practicing skills through pretend play has not.
My students learn so many valuable academic and social skills through role playing. They are learning how to have empathy, help others, take turns, counting, letter recognition, ever time they are playing in the dramatic play center. This year we are finding that we need new materials, to help enhance the learning in this area. We have always been very creative with materials and sharing items, but are still in need of some items to help enhance student learning and provide those rich opportunities.
