Our school has adopted a STEM program. STEM focuses on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. My kindergartners are our future leaders. They need to be equipped with the skills and experiences necessary for careers in STEM based fields in order to compete in our complex society. They need to be exposed to STEM so they can learn at an early age to problem solve. Inquiry-based learning engages my students. Kindergartners needs to explore and make discoveries. My students are creative and love to build. Their curious nature and willingness to learn makes STEM a perfect fit for our room.
