We will use these materials in many hands-on projects and activities throughout the school year. Students will be able to choose from an array of vibrant colors when coloring in the Native American pop-up homes they’ve designed during one of our social studies units. For those who need extra support in organizing their writing, they’ll be able to pick different colored pencils to circle sentences with similar ideas into paragraphs that make sense. During Quiet Time, some students will need these materials;colored pencils, markers, paint, and paper to help calm their minds after coming back into the classroom from lunch. These are just a few examples of how the these materials will be incorporated into our classroom- but there are many more!
I am trying to collect a variety of art supplies that my students will cherish everyday throughout the school year. They love to learn new things and deserve to have access to the materials that will deepen their education. They are willing and able to learn and deserve the opportunity. Any tools that help integrate learning and spark the imagination will make 4th grade a much more memorable experience!
