I teach nearly all the students in our school. My music class is a break from sitting in a desk, but sometimes our games aren't enough to give them wiggle time. Currently, my students sit on FlipForm Risers, but I'm not sure they're the best option for my classroom. I would like to add some flexible seating options to make my classroom more inclusive and brain-friendly to the kiddos who need different options. They would be used by all my students as a way for them to enjoy music class, as well as an incentive to pay attention and stay focused. They will need to work together as good citizens of our classroom to earn the right to choose their seats first for the following week. I have been working hard to make my classroom more inclusive, especially for the students who need more to stay focused. I have added fidgets, "wiggle boxes," meditation, and a few other tools. This project will nicely compliment what I have been working to do.
