In first grade, we spend a lot time in small groups especially during literacy center time. In the past we've had materials that were lost or misplaced. We do our very best with what we have.
The magnetic letters would be a tremendous help in helping the students with phoneme segmentation and blending. This is important when students are trying to grasp the first foundations of reading.
The dry erase protective sheets are going to come in handy when we start to do word building activities that will accompany the magnetic letters. These are going to double as a lesson on reducing, reusing, and recycling. It will most certainly reduce the amount of copies that are made each day!
