We would like to provide our students with the opportunity to see a world other than their own. We want to expose them to the 5 themes of geography through the regions of the United States and the entire western hemisphere. We want our students to be able to see, learn, engage, and interact with surroundings they may never have encountered or have the possibility to see.
We want to take time, to "stop and smell [see] the roses" in different areas of our country and our neighboring countries as we work with latitude/longitude, different landforms, regional similarities/differences, and cultural similarities/differences throughout the different locations visually visited. We want to open the world up to our students in order to help them see a future for themselves.
