I teach in a school with underprivileged children. Since many of our students qualify for free and reduced priced meals, our school receives federal grant money that pays for each enrolled child to receive a daily breakfast and lunch, at no cost to them!
We are a STEAM Magnet school, focusing on serving our underprivileged neighborhood kids while also opening up options for other students, both inside and outside of our district. We focus on integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics instruction with our Reading curriculum to help our students make better connections to the content and world around them.
