I teach Reading Workshop, which means my students are so lucky they get to practice reading every day! We believe in the power of choice! Picking out "just the right book" is essential to my students connecting with their book.
We want to start a classroom library: any moment and any day, my kids can go to our classroom bookshelves, trying one for a few minutes, replacing it for another, asking classmates for suggestions, getting personal recommendations, etc.
My students need lots of options, at their fingertips, from a wide selection I know will be within their reading levels and will capture their interest.
