My students are venturing into the world of computer science through robotics. Students will be participating in a robotics program that will lead them to a nationwide competition. Through this project I am requesting the Wonder Workshop Wonder Pack, which includes two robots (Dash and Dot) and tools. Students will have access to iPads and will be programming Dash and Dot to maneuver through mazes and complete challenges using the Blockly programming language. With the Computer Science for All Initiative, I am striving to join the world in giving my students opportunities to learn coding skills through programming robots. These resources will provide students with a hands on approach to developing technical skills as well as collaboration and critical thinking, which is required to be successful in the 21st century world.
