I teach second grade at a small town school. There are 22 students in my classroom. These students are full of life and they are very much like sponges, absorbing any information you give them. However, their fire for reading has been covered by standardized tests, Accelerated Reader points, etc. They have a lot of potential, but they need the right materials.
