My students range in age from 6 to 12 years old. They all have some type of special needs. They are normal everyday kids who just take a little longer than others to pick up on some things. For the most part, my students are good at math, but really struggle with reading. Some can read well but don't comprehend what they read. Some can listen to a story and know exactly what is happening but can't read it on their own because they may only know a few words in an entire book.
We are nestled in a small, rural community with few resources. We are working with a tight budget. We have wonderful teachers who are some of the best and know everything there is to know about elementary education. We all work hard to support our students.
