I am a fourth year teacher but this year I moved to a new school in a new district at a new grade level. That means many of the resources I used my first 3 years are not relevant to my new, older students and I am trying to acquire materials that work for my kids and support the new curriculum I am teaching. The school I work in is a small magnet school right in the middle of downtown. Our magnet population comes in from various places, and our base population is typically lower income. With varying student needs, it can be difficult to find resources that work for everyone, so I try to develop lessons that allow for choice and creativity whenever I am able. I plan to use resources that I am able to get through Donors Choose to support that capability in my classroom.
