These new seating options will enhance learning by providing my students with opportunities for movement while learning, which also increases physical health. Sitting in a traditional hardback desk chair all day often comes with complaints of discomfort and the need to move. Providing my students with comfortable seating options that also allow for movement will help them to be more productive and less distracted.
My goal is always to make learning fun, and flexible seating will aid so much in helping them learn to love their school experience, and the learning process.
Choice is such a powerful tool in the classroom. It is empowering and comforting at the same time. Giving students choices is so rewarding for both them and myself. They learn how to make appropriate choices for themselves and gain more independence and understanding of the importance of making good choices for themselves. Flexible seating choices will be a great incentive to help my students stay focused and on task. The donation of these chair and table alternatives will be a great asset to my students, my classroom, and myself!
