The students in our school have traditionally kept physical portfolios in a binder. This year we are working to transition to digital portfolios. I am slowly trying to collect a variety of technology to assist students in creating, photographing and digitizing their own projects to go into their digital portfolios. My students are already very enthusiastic about finding ways to show what they are learning and to take responsibility for creating and maintaining their portfolios. We currently use a couple of iPads, a couple of Chrome books, a desktop computer and digital cameras to accomplish this task, but I would like to expand the options my students have to accomplish this task by adding 2 Microsoft Surface Go Workstations. As I watch them, I notice the respect with which they use materials and technology in the classroom and I would love to give them even more opportunities.
