The Jenks Robotics team is in dire need of new laptops for students to learn how to program and code robots and use with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) designs needed to build, program, and drive a robot built from the wheels up to participate in area competitions. Robots built for competition are designed by the students to be able to perform specific tasks per the parameters provided for the competitions for the school year. Such tasks in the past have been to be able to throw rubber balls a specific height, distance, and be able to turn a round turntable, stopping at a specific color using a color recognition program within the robot's program.
