My students attend a Title I school in an urban community, and many face significant economic challenges. However, despite these barriers, my students have incredible personalities and a desire to learn and succeed in school. As a middle school math teacher, I strive to not only teach my students math concepts, but to also give them crucial skills that will drive success in the real world. Whatever path my students choose, the ability to organize manifests itself in higher education, most careers, and general everyday life. All of my students have the ability to succeed in the world and transform it for the better, but need the tools and practice to make that success tangible.
