The students at our school live in a very rural area, and they do not have a lot of opportunity or exposure to other countries. With this rug they will not only have a comfortable place to sit for morning meeting, read a louds, and whole group lessons, they will also learn about diversity. I want them to be aware and accepting of different cultures. This rug is a great visual reminder of the seven continents and flags from different areas. This will be a bright, colorful reminder that we live in a huge world.

About my class
