I have 10 students; 3 girls and 7 boys and they range from kindergarten to second grade. Majority of them have an intellectual disability but I also have students who have autism and down syndrome, so our class has lots of variety! My students are amazing and the support we have from our school is wonderful. My kiddos watch out for each other. They have learned each others strengths and weaknesses and have become like a family. My older students look out for the younger ones and the ones who have a voice have became a voice for the ones who don't have theirs yet. My students are the best and along with my two wonderful assistants, room 15 has become one of the best classrooms at our school. I am beyond lucky to have the classroom that I have and I am so thankful for my students and my assistants. They have made my first year teaching such a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to next year as I have learned so much and I can't wait to continue teaching them.
