I work in a high poverty area in my city. I work at a title one school, which means 100% of the students receive free or reduced lunch. My students are very driven and want to learn how to be the best at what they do. I have had students that made significant gains in reading from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. I have introduced new books to my students and I see them going to the library to check out the entire series because the book drew them in. I want to continue to engage them as much as possible so they can continue to make those gains in their learning.
