My classroom was opened in the middle of the year last year, so it received a lot of hand-me-down furniture and items. The chairs we currently have in our classroom are uncomfortable and somewhat dangerous. We also have families that tour our program and have turned it down because the classrooms were "dark and dirty". I understand why when looking at the furniture that we have gotten from the school district.
I would love to make my classroom more comfortable and visually appealing for my students to learn in. I want anyone who steps into my room to feel happy and welcome. Comfortable, safe chairs would really go a long way to help with that.
