In the post-remote learning era that we are in, I try to incorporate educational games into my intervention groups as both a reward to students for completing weekly requirements and an opportunity for students to interact with one another. Playing games will not only support the skills we are focusing on, but also support practice taking turns, encouraging one another, being good listeners, and practicing sportsmanship.
Many students went many months without playing games with their friends or other children their age. Incorporating play into my sessions with students not only reinforces skills, but facilitates social development opportunities that some may have had limited access to during remote learning. Please consider supporting this project!
