I consider my classroom a home away from home for my students. It is an environment where they feel comfortable to ask for help and make mistakes. We recite daily a pledge that reminds them of how great they are. Despite them living in an impoverished area, they fight against the odds daily and come to school ready to learn. I teach a group of energetic 2nd graders who are eager to learn new things daily. Therefore they deserve to have the very best in education.
