Everyone has that book that they remember from elementary school that stuck with them throughout their life. This year we want that book to be Among The Hidden, for our fifth grade students. These books will allow our students to learn about literature through an interesting and engaging text. This project will allow each child in the fifth grade to be able to hold, read, and mark-up their own copy of Among The Hidden. This allows the students to learn the fifth grade English and language arts standards through a book that will keep them engaged and eager to discuss different topics. They will learn difficult themes like freedom and safety, governmental power, social status, truth and ignorance, in addition to deception and power. The story of this young boy will be one that teaches life lessons to our students about both life and reading.
