Well, this is almost my entire school. Over 90% of the students at my school receive free and reduced price lunches. However, we have a passionate staff that has worked hard to combat many of the problems our students face. My school has worked with agencies to gain food, clothing, school supplies, and so much more for the high poverty students at my school.
One place we still battle is to improve our students' access to technology in their homes. The majority of my kids' parents don't even have an email, much less a computer. This can cause them major difficulties as the students continue in school and in life. More and more jobs require a high level of technology expertise.
