When I got hired, I was warned that primary special day classes were the hardest assignments to teach. Boy they weren't kidding! I was a first year teacher and in for a tough year. But as chaotic, loud, and unpredictable the students may have seemed, I saw leaps and bounds of growth with their academics and behavior each day. Coming back for my second year I have learned numerous tricks and know what my students need to further succeed. Every minute of the day can turn into a teachable moment and I want to ensure that I have the necessary tools to nurture, educate, and make learning fun for my little kiddos.
