Our class is using a play based curriculum this year. One of the foundations of play based hands on learning are blocks! This will be an essential part of our classroom's choice time. Blocks help children construct, create and represent their ideas. These will also help children with their social-emotional development as they negotiate the use of the materials and exchange ideas. It will support their physical development as they use both their big and small muscles to build. Blocks will help their cognitive abilities as they learn about shapes, numbers, order, patterns, size and much more!
