I am a self-contained fifth grade teacher. My class is full of very active 10 -11 year old students. I have a mix of gifted students along with English Language Learners. We have a great time during the day. I love having them all day, it gives me the ability to use information across subject areas seamlessly. I want my students to be able to use technology to get information quickly from reliable sources. I want to encourage them to look up their questions and be fascinated by the results, I want them to see that there is not just one way to solve a problem and that groups of people work together to compile ideas and theories. My school has a high Hispanic population, most of my students are first generations in the U.S.
