I teach in a small town in Oklahoma. I am a reading teacher. I work with students, kindergarten through 2nd grade. I teach these students in a small group setting. I want my students to have a love of learning and reading. I feel it is so important for my students to get a solid foundation in reading at the primary level so they can build upon it in the upper grades in all subject areas. I want their learning experience to be fun and memorable. As they get older, I want my students to remember the positive experience that they had our school and know how important and valuable they truly are!
Our school has a large population of English language learners. We are also a Title 1 school, meaning that a growing percentage of our students are low income. The ability to find resources is very difficult at our school, as it is with most schools. We appreciate donors who help to make a difference for them.
