My classroom is in desperate need of additional books in my classroom library. My current library is what I like to call the "slim pickins." Our class gets to go to the school library once every seven days and check out books, but after they have read their books, there is little to choose from in my class.
When students have easy access to quality and interesting books they want to read more, which in turns makes them better readers. I tell my students all the time, "The more you read, the better you read." The books in my room will be labeled and grouped by reading level in baskets, so students can easily find books that will help increase their reading level.
