STEM is a new specials class in my school district. Therefore, the curriculum is still being built and last year I was able to teach STEM how I felt would be most beneficial to my students. Therefore, I created rigorous and relevant STEM challenges for students to complete while using recycled materials to build their projects. However, the problem was supplies was limited- sometimes we ran out of supplies or did not have enough supplies to go around the room. Therefore, students had to share scissors, tape, and pencils when building bridges, boats, solar ovens, windmills, paper tables, containers, zip lines, etc. Therefore, these donations will allow all students to work on their projects without having to "wait" for someone else to finish so we can complete more projects throughout the next school year. These donations will improve my students lives for the better because they will use the engineering design process to develop their design and now they will have the supplies to create their projects without delay!
