Our school district is the second poorest in the state. I teach first grade with seventeen students. Many of my students are foster students. They have been removed from their normal lifestyles of a mom and dad. Some of my students have been removed from their homes numerous times. They need the stability that our school provides in their lives. I only receive $200.00 a year to spend on classroom needs, of which $50.00 goes towards the school copier.
