My students are in 2nd grade and live in a diminutive, suburban public school district in Pennsylvania. Due to 85% of the student population falling below the poverty level and receiving free and reduced lunch they do not have the advantage of technology in the classroom.
These students are free thinkers and are eager to learn and move forward. They enjoy the use of technology to manipulate the lessons that we discuss during our classroom learning time.
By utilizing technology, it will give them the ability to achieve on various levels. Their social skills are developed during our classroom time and their technological skills will be utilized during our small group learning centers.
