My students come from diverse racial and socioeconomic backgrounds. I teach in a fully accredited Title I school that has approximately 570 students. 67% of the students receive free breakfast and lunch and 4% receive reduced meals. The county in which I teach is very rural with a primary focus on agriculture and aquaculture. Because of the many large farms, we have a large population of students who are English Language Learners. Since we live in a rural area, there isn't a lot to do so the school community plays a big part in these students' lives. The school is a safe and fun place for the students to learn and grow.
