In every class period, I have students in the classroom and students remote via Zoom. With a second monitor for my computer, I will be able to keep my students on Zoom front and center on one monitor, while still being able to share content with them on the second monitor. This will allow me to see their faces at all times so that I can see when they might be struggling or just need a little more help. Right now I am forced to make the Zoom window with the students small so that they can see my content. This makes it so I can only see one of my Zoom students. Unless I specifically open the window, or a student asks a question, I cannot judge if they are with me in the content or need assistance until the end of the lesson. Having a second monitor will eliminate this as I can have the Zoom window completely open while still sharing the content with my students.
