Mount Tahoma High School serves about 1,400 students in grades 9–12, with a student–teacher ratio of 20:1. Our school is richly diverse: 31% Hispanic, 17% Asian, 17% White, 14% African American, 13% multiracial, and 7% Pacific Islander. About 76% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, reflecting significant economic need. We also serve the largest newcomer student body in our district, welcoming multilingual learners from around the world each week. In my role as an instructional coach, I support all classrooms and grade levels.
